At our first stop of the day, Euroka Clearing, located deep in the National Park, the abundant birdlife to be found and it’s also home to wild kangaroos and we have time to wander at leisure to see if we can spot any of these beautiful native animals. A highlight today is a 1½ to 2 hour hike along to top of the Grose Valley – it provides an exhilarating walk while seeking wildlife such as the elusive Lyre Bird. We’ll stop and enjoy a picnic style lunch while looking over one of the world class views this walk provides.

From here we travel over the western boundary of the park and descend down into Hartley Vale. Packed with history we will also be looking for kangaroos, emus and more birdlife in the beautiful farmland valley.

Our journey takes us along the northern parameter as we head towards Sydney. Another short stop near Mt Banks allows for a refreshing glass of Australian sparkling wine before heading to our last stop at the Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens where there’s time for a short inspection of the flora including the ancient Wollemi Pine (Wollemia Nobilis).
