This Blue Mountains Day is a journey is unlike any other and showcases little visited areas away from all other tourists.
We leave the hustle and bustle of this huge city behind and in about 1 hour we will be deep into the World Heritage Listed Blue Mountains National Park, a wonderland of sandstone outcrops, deep ravines and hazy blue eucalypt forests.
At our first stop of the day, Euroka Clearing, located deep in the National Park, the abundant birdlife to be found and it’s also home to wild kangaroos and we have time to wander at leisure to see if we can spot any of these beautiful native animals. Your guide will prepare a refreshing morning tea or coffee for you with some local delicacies.
From here we drive to the top of the mountains and find stunning vistas over the Jamison and Megalong Valleys. A highlight today is a 1½ to 2 hour hike along to top of the Grose Valley – it provides an exhilarating walk while seeking wildlife such as the elusive Lyre Bird. We’ll stop and enjoy a picnic style lunch while looking over one of the world class views this walk provides.
From here we travel over the western boundary of the park and descend down into Hartley Vale. Packed with history we will also be looking for kangaroos, emus and more birdlife in the beautiful farmland valley.
Our journey takes us along the northern parameter as we head towards Sydney.
