Day 1

Vientiane Arrival

Arrival in Bangkok and connexion flight to Vientiane, the capital of Laos. Estimated time of flight: – TBA –
Once you arrive at the airport of Wattay, you will be greeted by our staff and transported to your hotel for check-in. After a brief rest, we began a short walk through the beautiful city of Vientiane. We will observe the sunset on the banks of the Mekong River. Return to the hotel and free time.

Day 2

Vientiane City Tour

Breakfast at hotel. Today we start the tour with a visit to the main monuments of the capital, including the Wat Sisaket, which contains over 8,000 statues of Buddha, Wat Ho Prakeo, known as the former home of the Emerald Buddha Statue and That Luang, the most important monument of the Laos. We’ll also see Patuxay (Arc de Triomphe place), which was built to commemorate those who fell during the wars of the past and today is the main monument of the city. In the afternoon, we travel to see the famous Buddha Park, which houses a sprawling and enchanting collection of Buddhist and Hindu sculptures near the Friendship Bridge. There are approximately 200 religious images here, dating back over 500 years. Finish the day with a magnificent spectacular sunset over the Mekong River. Return to the hotel and accommodation.

Day 3

Vientiane – Pakse Tadlo

Breakfast at hotel.  Transportation to the airport early in the morning to fly to Pakse. Estimated time of flight: 515 QV 6:30 to 07:45 On your arrival at Pakse, you  will be greeted by our our personnel and transported to Bolevean  Plateau, known for its low temperatures, as it is well above the Mekong Valley. The area is famous for its numerous waterfalls, including Tad Fane, Tad Hang and Tad Suong. Tad Fane formations have twin waterfalls falling into a deep gorge surrounded by a lush vegetation. A trip to the plateau provides a respite from the stifling heat of Laos and allows you to observe the cultivation of local coffee, tea, cardamom, bananas, amongst others. In the afternoon we will arrive to the twin waterfalls of Tad Yuang and Tad Fane, of great scenic beauty and inhabited by numerous ethnic minority groups. Visit the villages of Alak, Nge, and Katu before returning to Pakse.  Night at the hotel in Vientiane.

Day 4

Pakse –  Wat Phu –  Khong  Island and Elephant ride

Breakfast at hotel. Transportation by road to Champassak and visit the fascinating   pre-Angkor ruins of Wat Phu known as one of the most dramatically temples situated in Southeast Asia. You will have time to explore these intriguing Khmer ruins, which rise at the foot of Mount Phu Kao. Lunch included. We will continue our road trip to the 4000 Islands area, where we will stop in Ban Kiet Ngong to enjoy a 90-minute ride on an elephant. Check in at hotel and free time. Night at the Hotel in Khong Island.

Day 5

Khong Island – Pakse

After breakfast, in the morning we explore Khong Island and its surrounding area (Done Det and Done Khone) where we will begin to understand its French colonial past, as some of the colonial houses still standing. We continue the boat tour of the 4000 Islands area and we visit the beautiful Li Phi waterfall, also known as “Samphamith”, which forms a natural border between Laos and Cambodia. Drive to Ban Nakasang and we will visit another famous Waterfall Khong Pha Peng – considered the largest waterfall in Southeast Asia and also known as the “Niagara of the East”. Return by road to Pakse and accommodation.

Day 6

Pakse  – Luang Prabang

Breakfast at hotel.  Free time until transport to the the airport to take the flight to Luang Prabang.
Estimated time of flight: PKZLQP QV514 @ 16:40 -18:20 Upon your arrival you will meet our colleagues and transfered to your hotel. Rest of the afternoon free. Night at hotel in Luang Prabang

Day 7

Luang Prabang Full Day Tour

Breakfast at hotel. Visit to the National Museum, located in the former Royal Palace, which displays a lovely collection of objects that reflect the richness of Lao culture through time. Then we will enjoy a brief guided tour to see the city’s oldest temple, Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong. Also visit the impressive Stupa of Wat Visoun and the temples of Wat Aham and Wat Mai. Later, we get across the Mekong River to visit Wat Chompet, from where you can explore the Night Market  as well, which offers clothing and fabrics handmade ​​by local tribes. Return to hotel and accommodation.

Day 8

Luang Prabang –  Cooking Class – Khuang  Si Waterfalls

After the breakfast at the hotel, we start the day at the local market to get familiarised with the products that it offers and then select those that draw more our attention, proceed to a fun an tasty Cooking Class. After this delicious lunch, we go to Khuang Si waterfalls where you can swim in the natural pools of turquoise color water (if the weather permites) or hike the trails in the woods that surround it. In our journey will have the opportunity of visiting some of the minority ethnic groups present in this area such as: Ban Ouay, Hmong, Ban Or Laoloum, Ban Thapene and Khmu. Return to Luang Prabang in the afternoon to climb to the top of Mount Phousi to observe the sunset. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 9

Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Caves – Kamu Lodge

Early in the morning, you can witness the procession of Buddhist monks, asking for offerings from local people and tourists. Return to the hotel to have breakfast. With renewed energy, we embark on a cruise up the Mekong to Kamu Lodge, enjoying a landscape with a panoramic view of the area. Stop at the Pak Ou Caves, a shrine that contains actually two large caves, both filled with thousands of Buddha images.
Then the boat will arrive at Kamu Lodge, where you will be assisted in check in and after enloy your meal at the outdoor restaurant. In the afternoon, you can participate in different activities such as: visiting the Kamu village, practicing archery, rice cultivation, sowing and traditional fishing. Dinner with set menu will be served before spending the night at the Kamu Lodge.

Day 10

Kamu Lodge – Luang Prabang

After breakfast, we start the boat trip back to Luang Prabang. On the way, we stop at Ban Xanghai where local rice wine is produced. Upon arrival in Luang Prabang, transfer to your hotel for check in. The rest of the day free and night at the hotel in Luang Prabang.

Day 11

Luang Prabang – Siem Reap

Breakfast at hotel. Free time until the transfer time to the airport. Estimated time of flight: QV 513 13:00 – 14:10
