Day 1

Chiang Rai Mae Kok River Cruise

Arrive to Chiang Rai Airport meet and greet with local guide. Drive to visit Long Neck Tribe Village; (30 minutes’ drive) the woman wears several brass rings around their long, slender necks. Day 2

Chiang Rai Doi Mae Salong

08:30 Hrs. Drive up to Mae Salong Mountain, (1 hour drive) on the way stops at Akha Hill Tribe Village. Continue to Santi Kiri Village (Yunan Chinese Comities), with its Tea Plantations and also co-op store where homemade wines, medical herbs and other locally grown products are sold. They are ethnic Chinese, descendents of KMT Nationalist Chinese army regiment that took refuge in Thailand almost 50 years ago Lunch served at the local restaurant Drive up to the highest mountain peak on the Thai/Burma border; Doi Tung, 2,000 meters above sea level. Visit to Mae Fah Luang Garden, built over 10 acres of land in accordance with the King Mother’s wish, to give Thai people who have never traveled overseas an Opportunity to enjoy a temperate flower garden. Continue to Visit Doi Tung Royal Villa, the royal residence of the King’s Mother where she used the Villa as a base to oversee work in the Development Project to reforest the land and helped to improve the lives of the local people. Depart to Mae Sai Town, (45 minute drive) the Thailand-Myanmar border and the northernmost point of Thailand. Day 3

Chiang Rai – Chiang Mai

08:00 Hrs. Check out from the hotel and visit to Phra Kaew Temple; where the Emerald Buddha image was once enshrined. Now it is replaced with a jade Buddha image, which was made to commemorate the 90th birthday of the late Princess Mother. Depart to visit White’s Temple (30 minutes’ drive); designed by the famous national artist. The main temple building is a distinctive white color, decorated with fragments of reflective glass, which can be seen from afar. Lunch served at the local restaurant Drive through scenery from Chiang Rai to Chiang Mai (200 kms / 03 hours’ drive) by road along picturesque scenic routes passes the several beautiful northern mountains. Make a short break and relax while watching local boiling quill’s eggs at the Hot Spring at Mae Ka Chan Town Continue to visit the Handicraft Village. Trip to learn and see the local people making handicraft including Silverware, Hand-woven Textiles by Silk, Silver and Umbrellas or paper parasols which are hand-painted in a variety designs. Day 4

Chiang Mai Elephant Camp

08:30 Hrs. Travel to north of Chiang Mai route to Mae Taman Elephant Camp; (1 hour drive) explore the spectacular mountainous scenery along the way. Watch Demonstrations of how trained elephants are used as working animals in teak forests. The show includes elephant bathing in the river, working in the jungle, elephant painting, dragging and pushing logs. Elephant Ride for 45 minutes through the beautiful mountain scenery and over hilly trails and take local farmer transportation Ox-Cart Ride, through rice fields return back to the elephant camp. Trip also includes a short stop at Lisu Hill Tribe Market who originated from Tibet and lives in the mountains around 1,000 meters above sea level. Lunch served at the local restaurant. Bamboo River Rafting cruise along the rural Mae Taeng River for 30 minutes, softly moving along the river while relaxing as the rafts men pole you down through farm houses and stunning green. Continue to visit Orchid Nursery to see a large collection of different types of colorful exotic year-round-bloom orchids. Continue to visit The Tiger Kingdom where you can see tigers and also have a chance to play and touch with them. You can choose to play and touch puppy tigers, small tigers and big tigers. ** Optional: Additional Charge for playing and touching the tigers will be pay on the spot by clients Then transfer to the hotel, free at leisure. 19:00 Hrs. Dinner at “Old Chiang Mai Cultural Center”, which is the traditional northern Thailand form of dining. The food is served on a wooden pedestal tray, called Khantoke. Day 5

Chiang Mai

08:30 Hrs. Visit Chiang Mai most sacred temples: Chedi Luang Temple where the biggest Stupa in northern Thailand which was built at the end of 14th century is located. Even though it was destroyed in an earthquake in 1545, it was to remain the tallest structure in Chiang Mai till today. Phra Singh Temple, which was built in the year 1345. This temple contains marvelous examples of Lanna art including a Lanna style Viharn and the finest scripture repository of its type in the north. Then drive up to Doi Suthep Temple, (1 hour drive) which was built in 1383. It is located 1,050 meters above sea level. See the marvelous golden pagoda, which is containing the holy relics of Lord Buddha. You can enjoy the panoramic view of Chiang Mai City and Ping valley from the summit of Doi Suthep mountain. Then transfer back to the hotel. Free at your leisure until transfer to Chiang Mai Airport for next destination.
