Day 1

Arrival in Yangon

Welcome at Yangon (Rangoon) international airport by our guide and transfer to your hotel. Start your day with a visit to colossal reclining Buddha Chaukhtatkyi. After lunch, visit National Museum (closed on Monday, Tuesday and public holidays), which is home to priceless ancient artifacts. Visit the Bogyoke Market then head to the Indian quarter for a different view of the city.   End the day with a visit to the magnificent Shwedagon pagoda, the country’s holiest Buddhist shrine where many local and Buddhists come to worship, before returning to your hotel. Overnight in Yangon Hotel.

Day 2

Yangon – Heho – Pindaya – Inle Lake

Breakfast at hotel and transfer to airport for domestic flight to Heho. Upon arrival, Upon arrival in Heho, enjoy a two hour scenic drive to Pindaya, a town is known for its limestone caves, called the Pindaya Caves, a Buddhist pilgrimage site. Enter and explore the cave housing about 8,000 Buddha statues left by previous pilgrims on display, the earliest statue of whom dating back to the mid 18th century.  Allow some time to explore Pindaya town, beautifully situated at a small lake and surrounded by mountains, visiting a Shan umbrella and mulberry paper production home industry.  Photo stop at the picturesque Botaloke Lake and array of century old Banyan trees and then drive to Nyaung Shwe where Inle Lake,  Myanmar’s second largest lake, Inle, which measure 70km², is situated.  Located at 880m above sea level, Inle Lake is also one of the highest lakes in the country with a cool climate and exceptional flora and fauna. The lake is famous for its unique leg- rowers whose unusual style of rowing requires a remarkable balance and definitely takes some practice.   Overnight in Inle Lake Hotel.

Day 3

Inle Lake (Visit Phaung Daw U Pagoda Festival)

After breakfast, your guide will transfer you by boat to the site where you can enjoy the amazing view of the procession as the four of the holy images are ceremoniously paraded around the lake.  Soak up the most joyous local atmosphere and take photos of on this splendid site – the elaborate, gilded barge pulled by traditional long boats of the dressed leg-rowers and hundreds of others rowing in the entourage, following the procession.  See thousands of people from near and far. gathering on the lake-shores and the local Intha and Shan turning out in their best clothes to participate the celebration.

Continue to enjoy your boat trip on the lake afterwards. Visit the silk and lotus weaving village of Inpawkon and onwards to Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda. Observe the beautiful surroundings en route to the floating market and floating gardens until transfer to your hotel for overnight.  Overnight in Inle Lake Hotel.

Day 4

Inle Lake – Nyaung Shwe – Heho – Yangon

This morning, depart for the southwest of the lake where the Indein pagoda complex is situated. Take the small covered path from the Pa O tribe village to a monastery and the very impressive ruins of hundreds of ancient pagodas.  Enjoy breathtaking views from the main stupa area on the top of the hill over the surroundings and into the valley with the lake in the far distance. Return by boat to Nyaung Shwe and transfer to Heho airport to take your flight back to Yangon.

You are welcome back by your guide in Yangon and transfer to your hotel.

Depart Transfer

Transfer to airport – Bid farewell to your guide and depart Yangon
